Endeavor Health's Swedish Hospital unit in Chicago is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our nursing team. The role is full-time with nights (7p-7a) and requires every-other-weekend and rotating holidays.

You will support RNs, monitor patients, and assist with daily care, safety, and documentation. CNA/CPR certification and strong communication are essential to succeed in a fast-paced inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or successful completion of accredited nursing assistant training or equivalent
• American Heart Association CPR Certification
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to interact effectively with others
• Ability to uphold confidentiality standards appropriately
• Must communicate effectively (both written and verbally), be organized and self directed

Responsabilités

• Provides care to patients on assigned unit under direction of a Clinical Nurse Manager
• Communicates effectively with patient, families, and healthcare team
• Uses standard precautions and PPE as required
• Assists with patient hygiene and elimination needs
• Sets up patient rooms with ECG cables, leads, and monitoring equipment
• Assists RN in admitting new patients and taking initial vital signs
• Assists with nutrition and mobility needs
• Follows safety policies and procedures
• Documents vital signs and glucose results in EMR
• Cleans equipment and maintains patient privacy
• Performs rounds and reports changes to RN
• Proactively stocks nursing unit with supplies
