Endeavor Health in Chicago is seeking a Patient Care Technician/Nursing Assistant for the 4S Ortho/Post Surgical Tele unit at Swedish Hospital. The role is full-time (36 hrs/week), dayshift (7am-7:30pm) with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

You will care for patients under the RN, document vitals, and assist with hygiene, mobility, nutrition, and safety. Required CNA certification or equivalent, CPR certification, high school diploma or equivalent, and strong communication skills.

Qualificações

• CNA certification or completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or equivalent
• American Heart Association CPR Certification
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to interact effectively with others
• Must communicate effectively (written and spoken) and be organized and self-directed

Responsabilidades

• Provide care to patients on assigned unit under supervision of a Clinical Nurse Manager
• Communicate with patient, families and health care team respectfully
• Assist with personal hygiene and elimination needs
• Set up patient rooms with ECG leads and monitoring equipment
• Assist with admission and vital signs, documented in EMR
• Support RN with ambulation, ROM and nutrition needs
• Follow safety policies and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
• Perform roundings and report changes to RN
