Endeavor Health in Chicago is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing units in the Swedish Hospital campus. The role requires CNA certification or equivalent training, CPR certification, and strong communication and confidentiality skills.

The technician will assist with hygiene, mobility, and vital signs, and will participate in admissions under RN supervision. Hours are days, full time (36 hrs/week) with every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• CNA certification or successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training course or minimum six months of previous patient care experience or equivalent.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification.
• High school graduate or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Provides care to patients on assigned nursing unit under the direction of a Clinical Nurse Manager.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, visitors, and health care team members.
• Assists with patient hygiene, mobility, and nutrition as needed; follows safety protocols.
• Documents vital signs and point-of-care results in the EMR.
• Sets up rooms with ECG leads and monitors for new admissions; assists RN with admits.
