Luminis Health is seeking an Inpatient Medical Coder in Maryland to accurately code hospital inpatient accounts under supervision. You will use ICD-10-CM/PCS systems to support appropriate reimbursement, research, and compliance with federal and state regulations.

You will analyze records, query clinicians when needed, and ensure timely coding while maintaining high accuracy. The role emphasizes adherence to AHIMA and HIPAA guidelines, with ongoing education and collaboration with CDIS and other

• High school graduate; formal ICD-10-CM and CPT training required.
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Code inpatient cases with ICD-10 diagnostic and PCS procedural codes for reimbursement and compliance.
• Query providers and coordinate with CDIS for clinical queries as needed.
• Monitor work queues and code within established timeframes to support billing processes.
