Job summary

Savista is seeking a skilled Inpatient Coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for Facility Inpatient records. You will validate MS-DRG calculations to accurately reflect diagnoses and procedures, and ensure compliant coding practices.

You will collaborate with client staff, abstract data, and maintain strict confidentiality under HIPAA while staying current with coding guidelines and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment skills assessment.
• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• Minimum two years of inpatient coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS for acute inpatient records.
• Review records to ensure MS-DRG accuracy.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and discharge disposition.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
• Participate in ongoing education to maintain credentials.
