Job summary

Savista, LLC is seeking a skilled Coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10 CM and PCS codes for Facility Inpatient records. You will validate MS-DRG calculations to accurately reflect diagnoses and procedures, while ensuring regulatory compliance and data integrity across client projects.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment skills assessment.
• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• Two years of hands-on coding experience (Acute Inpatient).

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for Acute Inpatient records.
• Review records to ensure MS-DRG assignments reflect diagnoses and procedures.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses, procedures and discharge disposition.
• Maintain knowledge of coding guidelines, regulations, and third-party requirements.
• Interact with client staff for data integrity and clarification as needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and related policies.
