Job summary

Savista, LLC is seeking a Coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM and PCS codes for Facility Inpatient records to support accurate billing and reimbursement. You will validate MS-DRG calculations and ensure documentation supports diagnoses and procedures while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.

The role involves collaborating with client staff, abstracting data, and staying current with coding guidelines and regulatory requirements to ensure compliant coding practices.

Qualifications

• Two years of hands-on coding experience with inpatient records.
• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, CCS-P, or CPC-H).
• Must pass pre-employment skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for Acute Facility Inpatient cases.
• Review records to ensure MS-DRG assignments reflect documented diagnoses and procedures.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses, procedures, and discharge disposition.
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and participate in client meetings and trainings.
• Stay current with ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines and coding compliance requirements.
