Savista, LLC is seeking a skilled Inpatient Coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for Facility Inpatient records, ensuring accurate MS-DRG outcomes for hospital billing and reimbursement.

The role requires AHIMA or AAPC credentials and at least two years of inpatient coding experience, with strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and data integrity. Collaboration with client staff and HIPAA compliance are essential.

Qualifications

  • Active AHIMA credential (RHIA/RHIT/CCS) or an AAPC credential (COC/CCS-P/CPC).
  • Two years of hands-on coding experience with Acute Inpatient and other record types.
  • Solid knowledge of ICD-10-CM & PCS code sets.
  • Ability to code at 95% accuracy while maintaining client and Savista standards.

Responsibilities

  • Select and sequence ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for Acute Inpatient facility records.
  • Review and analyze clinical records to ensure MS-DRG assignments reflect diagnoses and procedures.
  • Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses, procedures and discharge disposition for regulatory requirements.
  • Interact with client staff and providers as needed.
  • Maintain patient and provider confidentiality per HIPAA and company policy.
  • Participate in client meetings, trainings, and conference calls.
