Job summary

Savista is seeking a Coder to review clinical documentation and assign diagnostic and procedural codes for Facility Inpatient records. You will validate MS-DRG calculations and ensure accurate data abstraction to meet regulatory and client requirements.

Ideal candidates hold AHIMA or AAPC credentials, have 2+ years of inpatient coding experience, and are proficient with ICD-10 CM & PCS in a healthcare setting. This role emphasizes accuracy, compliance, and collaboration with client staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of inpatient coding experience for Acute Inpatient
• AHIMA or AAPC credential required or active enrollment/eligibility
• Knowledge of ICD-10 CM & PCS
• Strong medical terminology, anatomy & physiology knowledge
• Proficiency in MS Office including Excel/Word/Outlook
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 CM and PCS codes for Acute Inpatient records.
• Review clinical records to ensure MS-DRG accuracy.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and discharge dispositions.
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and client policies.
• Participate in client meetings and ongoing education to stay compliant.
