Job summary

Savista seeks a skilled Coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10 CM and PCS codes for Facility Inpatient records to support billing accuracy. The role includes verifying MS-DRG calculations and abstracting data to meet regulatory standards.

You will interact with client staff, maintain HIPAA confidentiality, and stay current with coding guidelines and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• Two years of inpatient coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 CM & PCS coding systems.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 CM and PCS codes for Acute Facility Inpatient records.
• Review clinical records to ensure MS-DRG accuracy.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and discharge disposition.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
• Participate in client meetings, trainings, and ongoing education.
