Job summary

Savista is seeking an inpatient Coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for Facility Inpatient records to support billing accuracy and regulatory compliance. The role involves MS-DRG validation, data abstraction, and collaboration with client staff while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Two years of recent hands-on coding experience with Acute Inpatient.
• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential.
• Pass pre-employment skills assessment.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 CM and PCS codes for Acute Facility Inpatient.
• Review and analyze clinical records to ensure MS-DRG assignments reflect diagnoses/procedures.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses, procedures and discharge disposition.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and participate in client meetings and trainings.
