Job summary

Savista seeks a Healthcare Coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10 CM and PCS codes for inpatient facility records. You will validate MS-DRG calculations and ensure compliant coding practices while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Required credentials and two years of hands-on inpatient coding experience, with strong knowledge of medical terminology and MS Office tools. You may interact with client staff and participate in ongoing education and compliance programs.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential as listed.
• Two years of hands-on coding experience with Acute Inpatient records.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 CM & PCS coding systems.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10 CM and PCS codes for Acute Inpatient records.
• Review clinical records to ensure MS-DRG assignments reflect diagnoses/procedures.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and discharge disposition.
• Maintain knowledge of coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Protect patient confidentiality per HIPAA and participate in client meetings.
