Job summary

Savista is seeking an Inpatient Coder for remote USA roles. The coder will review documentation to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for facility inpatient records, verify MS-DRG calculations, and ensure compliant coding practices while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Requirements include AHIMA or AAPC credential and at least two years of inpatient coding experience; applicants must pass a pre-employment skills assessment.

Qualifications

• Two years of recent, hands-on inpatient coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Select and sequence ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient records.
• Review clinical records to ensure MS-DRG accuracy.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses and discharge disposition.
• Maintain data confidentiality per HIPAA and participate in trainings.
• Collaborate with client staff to ensure compliant coding practices.
• Stay current with ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines and regulations.
• Support compliance programs and report concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
