Mosaic Life Care is seeking an Inpatient Coder II to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for acute care inpatient services, querying providers to improve documentation and coding accuracy. You will mentor coders and participate in education initiatives while aligning with regulatory guidelines.

The role supports remote work for eligible states including Idaho; in-person options may be available depending on department needs. A strong HIM background with CCS/RHIA/RHIT credentials is preferred.

Formación

• Must have coding education with knowledge of medical terminology and query guidelines.
• 3 years HIM inpatient acute care coding experience is required.
• CCS or RHIA/RHIT certification preferred or required as applicable.

Responsabilidades

• Code complex diseases and procedures using ICD-10-CM/PCS per guidelines.
• Query providers to improve documentation and to demonstrate severity of illness.
• Mentor and train coders; participate in education opportunities.
• Ensure data accuracy for regulatory reporting and CMS guidelines.
