Mosaic Life Care is seeking an Inpatient Coder II to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for acute care inpatient, rehabilitation, swing bed and LTACH services. The role involves querying providers for documentation, resolving edits, and ensuring coding accuracy in line with guidelines.

Mentoring coders and contributing to education are included. The candidate should have HIM inpatient coding experience, coding education, and CCS/RHIA/RHIT credentials or progress toward them, with strong knowledge of

Qualificações

• Must have coding education with knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology and anatomy, query guidelines - Required
• Associate's Degree - Health Information Management / Medical Records - Required OR
• Bachelor's Degree - Health Information Management / Medical Records - Preferred
• 3 Years - experience in HIM inpatient acute care coding - Required
• CCS / RHIA / RHIT certification required or in progress

Responsabilidades

• Codes complex diseases, procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10-CM/PCS in inpatient settings.
• Queries providers for documentation improvements per Official Guidelines.
• Assigns MS-DRG and APR-DRG per regulatory guidelines for inpatient services including LTACH.
• Mentors and trains coders.
• Attains coding quality and productivity goals.
