Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking an Inpatient Coder II to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for acute inpatient, rehab, swing bed, and LTACH services. You will query providers, analyze documentation, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines while supporting education for coders.

The role requires 3+ years HIM inpatient coding, CCS/RHIA/RHIT or equivalent, and strong EMR/encoder skills. Remote work is eligible for select states; Missouri-based however local work may be required according to policy.

Qualifications

• Requires CCS, RHIA or RHIT certification or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years inpatient HIM coding experience.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient services across settings.
• Query providers to clarify documentation for accurate coding.
• Mentor and train coders; support quality and productivity goals.
• Collaborate with CDS, revenue integrity, and CDI teams.
• Maintain coding data accuracy for regulatory submissions.
