Job summary

Mosaic Life Care is seeking an Inpatient Coder II to assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for acute care inpatient, rehabilitation, swing bed and LTACH services. You will query providers for documentation clarity, resolve edits, and ensure coding accuracy with MS-DRG/APR-DRG alignment.

Applicants should have HIM inpatient coding experience, relevant degrees, and CCS/RHIA/RHIT certifications. Remote work is available for residents of select states; on-site options also may apply depending on

Qualifications

• Must have coding education with knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology and anatomy, query guidelines.
• Associate's Degree in Health Information Management / Medical Records or Bachelor’s Degree in HIM/Medical Records.
• Three years of HIM inpatient acute care coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient services including LTACH and swing bed.
• Query providers per Official Query Guidelines to improve documentation.
• Mentor and train coders; collaborate with CDI, revenue integrity and other departments.
