Savista is seeking a clinical coder to review medical records, assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for Facility Inpatient stays, and support accurate MS-DRG calculations for hospital billing and data retrieval. You will ensure compliant abstracting of clinical data, maintain patient confidentiality under HIPAA, and collaborate with client staff to resolve coding questions and improve data quality.

The role requires AHIMA or AAPC credentials and at least two years of hands-on inpatient coding experience

Qualificações

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• Two years inpatient coding experience.
• Ability to pass pre-employment skills assessment.

Responsabilidades

• Select and sequence ICD-10 CM and PCS codes for inpatient cases.
• Review records to ensure MS-DRG assignments reflect diagnoses and procedures.
• Abstract clinical data to support diagnoses, procedures and discharge disposition.
• Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and coding guidelines.
• Collaborate with client staff to clarify coding questions and data quality.
