Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking an In-patient Coder to handle medical coding and data entry for Hospital (Acute) In-patient visits. This role codes CABG, Ortho, and Med cases, and uses the 3M 360 Encoder HDM to streamline billing.

The ideal candidate holds a 2-year degree or equivalent, AHIMA/AAPC certification, and has experience coding inpatient cases and using 3M Encoder HDM. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree or equivalent experience.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification mandatory.
• Experience coding CABG, Orthopedic, and Medical cases required.
• Experience using 3M 360 Encoder HDM required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient: Assign ICD-10-CM and PCS diagnoses and procedures and determine DRG.
• Create compliant physician queries as needed.
• Review claims for medical necessity.
• Update problem lists per client contract.
• Assign present on admission indicators.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and teammates.
• Float between sites and coding specialties with flexibility.
