Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking an In-Patient Coder to handle coding and data entry for hospital acute inpatient visits, including CABG, Orthopedic, and Medical cases. The role uses 3M 360 Encoder HDM to streamline coding and billing.

The position requires a 2-year degree or equivalent experience, AHIMA or AAPC certification, and experience coding complex cases. Candidates must be able to float between sites and maintain compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree or equivalent experience required.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification required.
• Experience coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases required.
• Active credentials RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or COC desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient records and determine DRG.
• Create compliant physician queries as needed.
• Review claims for medical necessity.
• Update problem lists per client contract.
• Assign present on admission indicators.
• Provide excellent client and teammate service.
• Float between sites and coding specialties with flexibility.
