DaMar Staffing seeks an In-Patient Coder to handle medical coding and data entry for Hospital (Acute) In-patient visits, coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases. The role uses 3M 360 Encoder HDM to streamline coding and billing, with responsibilities across multiple sites.

ESSENTIAL: AHIMA or AAPC certification, 2 year degree or equivalent, and experience coding complex inpatient cases. Strong communication and organizational skills are required to succeed.

Qualifications

• Requires AHIMA or AAPC certification.
• Minimum 2 year degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases is required.
• Experience with 3M 360 Encoder HDM is required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient: assign ICD-10-CM and PCS codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Ensure accurate DRG assignment and compliant physician queries.
• Review claims for medical necessity.
• Update problem lists per client contract.
• Assign present on admission indicators.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and teammates.
• Float between multiple sites and coding specialties.
