Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks an In-Patient Coder to handle medical coding and data entry for Hospital (Acute) In-patient visits, including CABG, Ortho, and Med cases, using the 3M 360 Encoder HDM to streamline coding and billing.

The ideal candidate has a 2-year degree or equivalent experience, AHIMA or AAPC certification, and experience coding inpatient CABG/Ortho/Med cases with 3M Encoder HDM. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree or equivalent experience.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification required.
• Experience coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases.
• Experience working with 3M 360 Encoder HDM.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient: Assign ICD-10-CM and PCS codes for primary and secondary diagnoses and procedures, ensuring DRG accuracy.
• Create compliant physician queries.
• Review claims for medical necessity.
• Update problem lists per client contract.
• Assign present on admission indicators.
• Provide excellent client and team service; maintain positive attitude.
• Float between multiple sites and coding specialties.
