DaMar Staffing is seeking an In-Patient Coder to handle coding and data entry for Hospital (Acute) In-patient visits, including CABG (cardio), Ortho, and Med cases. The role uses 3M 360 Encoder HDM to streamline coding and billing across sites.

The position requires 2-year degree or equivalent, AHIMA/AAPC credentials, and experience with CABG/Ortho/Med coding and 3M 360 Encoder HDM. The candidate must comply with HIPAA and related regulations.

Qualifications

• Requires 2-year degree or equivalent experience.
• AHIMA or AAPC certification is required.
• Experience coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases is required.
• Experience working with 3M 360 Encoder HDM is required.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient: Accurately assigns ICD-10-CM and PCS primary and secondary diagnoses and procedures based on documentation and guidelines; assigns the DRG.
• Ability to create compliant physician queries.
• Accurately review claims for medical necessity.
• Update problem lists consistent with client contract.
• Assign present on admission indicators.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and teammates.
• Floats between multiple sites and coding specialties with flexibility.
