DaMar Staffing is seeking an In-Patient Coder to handle hospital inpatient coding and data entry, using the 3M 360 Encoder HDM to streamline processes. The role requires coding CABG, orthopedic, and medical cases, with duties including DRG accuracy and physician query creation.

Applicants must have a 2-year degree or equivalent plus AHIMA/AAPC certification, and experience with the 3M Encoder HDM. Strong communication and team collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree or equivalent; AHIMA/AAPC certification required.
• Active RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or COC credentials.
• Experience coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases required.
• Experience with 3M 360 Encoder HDM required.
• Meets quality and productivity standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong organization, multitasking, and time-management skills.
• Detail oriented; able to follow through and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient: assign ICD-10-CM and PCS codes from records per guidelines.
• Accurately assign DRGs and perform coding for CABG, Ortho, Med cases.
• Create compliant physician queries as needed.
• Review claims for medical necessity and update problem lists.
• Maintain present-on-admission indicators; float across sites.
