DaMar Staffing seeks an In-Patient Coder to handle medical coding and data entry for hospital inpatient visits, coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases, and using 3M 360 Encoder HDM to streamline the billing process. The position requires a 2-year degree or equivalent, AHIMA or AAPC certification, and proven experience with CABG/Ortho/Med coding and the 3M encoder.

Compliance with HIPAA and ERISA standards is essential, with attention to accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree or equivalent; AHIMA or AAPC certification is required.
• Experience coding CABG, Ortho, and Med cases is required.
• Experience working with 3M 360 Encoder HDM is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient: Accurately assigns ICD-10-CM and PCS codes and DRG based on documentation.
• Ability to create compliant physician queries.
• Review claims for medical necessity.
• Update problem lists per client contract.
• Assign present on admission indicators.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and teammates.
• Float between sites and coding specialties as needed.
