Job summary

ENGEL is seeking a Service Technician for our North America Service Department. The role involves installing and servicing equipment at customer sites, training customers, and supporting machinery performance.

Qualified candidates have 5+ years in injection molding troubleshooting or field service, a high school diploma (associate/bachelor’s preferred), and strong electrical/mechanical skills. Travel and a customer-focused mindset are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs injection molding machines and robots, including tests and inspections across mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic or software components.
• Performs safety checks on equipment.
• Educates customers on equipment and proper operation.
• Manages resolution of customer issues including parts orders and installations.
• Orders replacement parts and diagnoses control-system problems.
• Instructs other technicians and customers on maintenance and safe operation of injection molding systems.
• Communicates with Central Service/Manufacturing/Parts Center for field problems.
• Provides written reports to Service Manager.
