Job summary

ENGEL North America in Indianapolis is seeking a skilled Service Technician to perform remote-site installations, servicing equipment, and providing customer training. You will diagnose and repair injection molding machines, lift performance through calibration, and ensure safety standards are met.

You will travel to customer sites, communicate status to the Service Manager, and support parts replacement coordination.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in Injection Molding troubleshooting or field service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of injection molding machines and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs injection molding machines and robots, including tests and inspections of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic components.
• Performs safety checks on equipment and provides customer training as needed.
• Educates customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Manages resolution of customer issues, including parts replacement planning and ordering.
• Coordinates with Central Service/Manufacturing/Parts Center to obtain information and report progress.
• Instructs other technicians and customer operators on proper operation and safety.
