Job summary

ENGEL Machinery North America is seeking a Field Service Technician for Indianapolis, IN. The technician installs, services, and supports complex injection molding equipment at customer sites, conducting training as needed.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, safety, and customer education, with travel to customer sites as required. Strong mechanical, electrical, and programming knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of blueprints and schematics to troubleshoot electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Experience with injection molding machines and related controls/components.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems systematically and provide customer training.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines and robots on customer sites.
• Perform safety checks and calibrations for optimal performance.
• Educate customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Order parts and coordinate repairs with service teams.
• Provide regular written reports to the Service Manager.
