New Relic is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Engineering team, focusing on network infrastructure and enterprise AI enablement. You will build and operate the networks that keep our global workforce connected and secure, and you will help deploy AI tools that make the company faster.

This is an engineering role built around automation, scalability, and reliability, with real ownership over the platforms you run.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in network, infrastructure, or IT engineering.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, TLS, VPN, proxy, firewall) and proven troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience managing Meraki or comparable enterprise network infrastructure.
• Experience working with ISPs and carriers, including circuit management and outage escalation.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise AI or LLM platforms (Gemini, Claude or similar), including administration or integration work.
• Proficiency in a scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, JavaScript) and experience building against REST APIs.
• Understanding of data security principles as they apply to AI usage (data classification, DLP, least privilege).
• Strong critical thinking and structured problem‑solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to document designs and teach others.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve core network infrastructure globally.
• Troubleshoot office network issues including Wi‑Fi, VLAN, DNS, DHCP.
• Manage ISP relationships, circuit procurement, SLAs, outage escalation.
• Plan and execute office network builds with Facilities and Security.
• Design, deploy, and operate Cloudflare Zero Trust, VPN, firewall policy.
• Monitor network health, respond to incidents, and drive fixes.
• Maintain network documentation and runbooks.
• Deploy and administer AI platforms (Gemini Enterprise, Claude).
• Build AI-powered automations across IT and business teams.
• Design AI usage controls, data protection, and access policies.
• Evaluate new AI tools, run pilots, drive adoption.
• Build integrations and automation using scripts and APIs.
• On‑call rotation.
