Job summary

New Relic, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for our IT Engineering team, focusing on network infrastructure and enterprise AI enablement. You will build and operate networks for a global workforce and help deploy AI tools to accelerate company performance.

The role emphasizes automation, scalability, reliability, and ownership over platforms you run, with opportunities to lead projects and shape the roadmap across Security, Compliance, Facilities, IT Support, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in network, infrastructure, or IT engineering.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS/DHCP, VLANs, routing, TLS, VPN, proxy, firewall.
• Hands-on with Meraki or comparable enterprise network infra.
• Experience with ISPs/carriers: circuit management and outage escalation.
• Hands-on with enterprise AI or LLM platforms (Gemini, Claude) including admin/integ.
• Scripting or programming (Python, Bash, JavaScript) with REST APIs.
• Understanding of data security in AI usage: DLP, data classification, least privilege.
• Strong problem-solving and structured thinking.
• Clear written and verbal communication; can document designs.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve core network infrastructure across global offices.
• Drive rollout and governance of AI platforms company-wide.
• Build integrations and automations using scripts and APIs.
• Act as escalation point for IT Support on complex issues.
• Participate in a global on-call rotation.
