Job summary

New Relic is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Engineering team, focusing on network infrastructure and enterprise AI enablement. You will build and operate networks for a global workforce and help deploy AI tools that accelerate the company.

This role emphasizes automation, scalability, and reliability with ownership over the platforms you run. You will design, deploy, and secure core networks, partner with Security and Facilities, and lead projects to shape the roadmap.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in network, infrastructure, or IT engineering.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, TLS, VPN, proxy, firewall) and proven troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience with Meraki or comparable enterprise network infrastructure.
• Experience working with ISPs and carriers, including circuit management and outage escalation.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise AI or LLM platforms, including administration or integration work.
• Proficiency in a scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, JavaScript) and experience building against REST APIs.
• Understanding of data security principles as they apply to AI usage (data classification, DLP, least privilege).
• Strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to document designs and teach others.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve core network infrastructure across global offices and govern AI platform rollout.
• Design, deploy, and manage Meraki infrastructure across offices and troubleshoot network issues.
• Manage ISP relationships, circuit procurement, renewals, SLAs, and outage escalation.
• Plan office network builds with Facilities and Security; maintain network docs and SOPs.
• Deploy and administer enterprise AI platforms, build AI-powered automations, and enforce usage controls.
• Build integrations and automation using scripts and APIs; participate in global on-call rotation.
