Job summary

New Relic, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer for the IT Engineering team to own and enhance global network infrastructure and AI enablement. You will automate, scale, and secure our enterprise networks while deploying AI platforms and supporting cross‑functional teams.

You will work on Meraki deployments, Zero Trust security, and integrations with AI tools, partnering with Security, Facilities, and Engineering to shape roadmaps and deliver reliable systems.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in network, infrastructure, or IT engineering.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, TLS, VPN, proxy, firewall).
• Hands-on experience managing Meraki or comparable enterprise network infrastructure.
• Experience working with ISPs and carriers, including circuit management and outage escalation.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise AI platforms (Gemini, Claude or similar).
• Proficiency in a scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, JavaScript) and REST APIs.
• Understanding of data security principles as they apply to AI usage (data classification, DLP, least privilege).
• Strong problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve core network infrastructure across global offices and AI platform rollout.
• Design, deploy, and manage Meraki infrastructure globally.
• Troubleshoot and resolve office network issues (Wi‑Fi, VLANs, DHCP, DNS).
• Manage ISP relationships, circuit procurement and SLA tracking.
• Plan office network builds, moves, and refreshes with Facilities/Security.
• Design, deploy Zero Trust security infrastructure and VPN/firewall policies.
• Monitor network health, incidents, and root-cause fixes; maintain docs.
