Job summary

New Relic, Inc. is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT Engineering team, focusing on network infrastructure and enterprise AI enablement. You will build and operate the networks that keep our global workforce connected and secure, while deploying AI tools that enhance performance and reliability.

You will automate repetitive tasks, document designs, and collaborate with Security, Compliance, Facilities, IT Support, and Engineering teams to lead projects and shape the roadmap.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in network, infrastructure, or IT engineering.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, TLS, VPN, proxy, firewall) and proven troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience managing Meraki or comparable enterprise network infrastructure.
• Experience with ISPs and carriers, including circuit management and outage escalation.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise AI or LLM platforms (Gemini, Claude or similar).
• Proficiency in a scripting language (Python, Bash, JavaScript) and experience building against REST APIs.
• Understanding of data security principles as they apply to AI usage (DLP, least privilege).
• Strong problem-solving and clear written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve core network infrastructure across global offices.
• Drive technical rollout and governance of AI platforms across the company.
• Design, deploy, and operate network security infrastructure (Cloudflare Zero Trust, VPN, firewall).
• Build AI-powered automations to reduce manual work across IT and business teams.
• Participate in a global on-call rotation.
