Brown & Root is seeking an experienced welder to lay out, align and weld fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells, buildings and pipe in accordance with blueprints and metallurgy.

Responsibilities include planning layouts, selecting materials, welding using multiple processes, ensuring proper fit and fusion, and maintaining safety and quality standards on all projects.

Competenze

• Selects type and size of pipe or other related materials and equipment according to specifications.
• Plans layouts, assembly and welding, applying knowledge of geometry and welding techniques.
• Uses various welding processes such as Gas-Metal Arc, Flux-Cored Arc, GTAW, SAW or SMAW as required.

Mansioni

• Lay out, position, align and fit components together in various body positions.
• Bolt, clamp and weld metal components such as piping systems, plate, pipe and tubes.
• Connects welding equipment settings (amperage, voltage, pulse) as specified by procedure.
• Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions and tack welds assemblies when needed.
• Inspect welds for bead size and conformity to specs.
• Assist with material handling and site safety for welding operations.
