Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an Operator I to operate and maintain sludge, dewatering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment in a refinery/industrial facility to purify water to meet customer specifications.

The role requires learning and independently operating pumps, engines, centrifuges, valves, and testing devices; working as part of a team; and using process control software. The position is field-based with potential outdoor work and safety PPE obligations.

Qualifications

Requires reading, writing and comprehension of English workflows and safety instructions.
Basic mathematical calculations required for measuring process outputs.
Must be able to serve rotational 24-hour emergency on call if required by site.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain sludge, dewatering treatment, processing, disposal and testing equipment.
Learn and independently operate pumps, engines, centrifuge, generators, valves and control devices.
Work in a team environment and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Use computer programs for process control.
This role spends 100% of time in an operations environment.
