Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking an Operator I to operate and maintain sludge and dewatering equipment at an industrial facility, ensuring purified water meets customer specifications and state discharge permit requirements.

The role requires teamwork, problem-solving, and the ability to learn and independently run pumps, engines, valves, belts, conveyors, and related lab equipment. Safety and on-call readiness are essential components of daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in related position and work environment preferred.
• Ability to read and follow safety/process instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sludge and dewatering equipment.
• Monitor processing, quality, and safety requirements.
• Learn and operate pumps, engines, valves, conveyors and lab equipment.
• Use computer programs for process control.
• Work in a team environment and take on new responsibilities.
