Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking an Operator I to operate and maintain sludge and de-watering treatment equipment in a refinery/industrial facility under direct supervision. You will ensure customer specifications are met and work safely in a team.

Responsibilities include learning and independently operating pumps, centrifuges, valves, mixers, and related equipment; collecting samples; logging readings; and contributing to a clean, compliant work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety rules and consequences of not following them.
• Familiarity with operation of refinery/industrial process equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and independently operate assigned machines and equipment meeting targets.
• Operate pumps, centrifuges, valves, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers and related equipment.
• Work in a team environment and take on additional responsibilities.
• Safely work on and around the job location.
• Keep the work area neat and clean.
• Collect liquid and solid samples and perform routine sampling testing.
• Log and record process readings.
