Job summary

ABB seeks an Industrial Sales Engineer to drive growth in the Greater Ohio territory, focusing on Data Center, Renewable, and Waste Water markets. You will collaborate with Market Development Managers to specify ABB products, build a robust sales pipeline, and travel extensively across the state to engage engineers, contractors, and customers.

The role requires a strong technical background, 3+ years in industrial sales, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; electrical engineering strongly preferred.
3+ years of experience in industrial sales or a related field, focusing on the specified vertical markets.
Strong technical knowledge of ABB installation products and their applications.

Responsibilities

Drive Specifications & Technical Support: collaborate with engineers to ensure ABB products are specified in new projects and renovations.
Convert End Users and OEMs: support efforts to convert end users and OEMs to ABB products through technical expertise and relationship building.
Engage with Contractors: work with contractors to ensure ABB products are used in projects, providing technical support and guidance.
Customer Engagement & Satisfaction: build and maintain strong local relationships with engineers, installers, distributors, end-users, and industry partners.
Build Sales Pipeline & Internal Collaboration: develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through proactive engagement with potential customers and stakeholders.
Market Analysis: conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for growth and provide VOC to Market Development Manager and Product Managers.
