Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Senior Director, Industrial, Project & Development Services in Chicago to lead design, planning and construction for clients. You will manage multi-discipline teams and ensure project objectives are met, while maintaining fiduciary responsibility and strong client relations.

The role requires 15+ years of experience with 5+ years in management, advanced project management skills, and expertise in finance, budgeting and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• 15+ years of related experience with 5+ years of management experience required.
• Advanced project management skills with expertise in the project management business.
• Expert in client relations, client management and consulting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong analytical skills.
• Proficient working knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, budgeting, scheduling and processes as they relate to corporate real estate, design and construction.
• Software skills: Microsoft Office applications, MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Regular interface with clients to ensure successful delivery of project management services and achieve client goals.
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow analysis and cost reports.
• Oversee due diligence, programming, design, entitlements, bidding, permitting and procurement.
• Demonstrate competence across varied project types in complex environments.
• Contribute to business development by identifying project or client opportunities.
• Oversee capital improvement programs across multiple sites with local resources.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and manage performance.
• Identify and address risk areas with market leaders.
• Provide on-site supervision to ensure performance criteria are met.
• Demonstrate proficiency in PDS technology for assigned projects.
• Manage PDS staff and drive adherence to policies and team development.
