Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Operations Director for the Chicago market, including the corporate headquarters. This role leads all aspects of operations, facilities, and staff for 200+ employees across two office locations, partnering with senior leaders to implement strategic initiatives and annual budgets.

The position requires 8–10 years in operations and a strong track record in financial management, People leadership, and cross-functional collaboration within commercial real estate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• 8–10 years of progressively responsible experience in operations, business management, or related fields.
• 4+ years of experience managing a multi-functional team of 25+ direct/indirect reports.
• Experience supporting a commercial real estate brokerage platform and operating within a matrixed organization is preferred.
• Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational health and performance of the Chicago office and corporate headquarters; establish routines, standards, and service expectations.
• Serve as a strategic business partner to the Market Leader on operational priorities, planning, and execution.
• Act as the primary escalation point for operational and personnel issues; drive timely resolution and preventative controls.
• Drive process improvement and standardize best practices across office functions.
• Collaborate with counterparts in other markets to share and apply best practices.
• Directly manage and develop the Operations Manager and Facilities Manager; oversee staff performance and hiring lifecycle.
