Job summary

UniFirst is seeking a maintenance technician to install, troubleshoot, and service industrial equipment across multiple locations. You will read blueprints, work with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and perform welding (MIG/TIG/ARC) as required.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of equipment maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license. You will travel to various sites and maintain safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Equipment maintenance knowledge – minimum of 6 months’ work experience repairing industrial processing equipment in a production environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics preferred.
• Ability to read and understand maintenance literature printed in English required.
• Lockout/Tagout experience preferred.
• Prior welding experience including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting, and brazing.

Responsibilities

• Install and troubleshoot industrial equipment, systems and components.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, manuals and engineering specifications.
• Maintain safe operation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Travel to multiple company locations to perform maintenance tasks.
• Perform welding activities (MIG, TIG, ARC) and brazing as needed.
• Provide maintenance information to appropriate partners.
• Uphold safety and housekeeping standards.
