Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform preventive maintenance on large textile processing equipment and assist the Chief Engineer. The role requires mechanical aptitude, tool use, and a valid driver’s license. You will help keep equipment running safely in a busy industrial laundry facility, with opportunities for growth and benefits.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, and emphasizes teamwork, initiative, and continuous improvement in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Have and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Demonstrate adequate mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in the proper use of power and hand tools.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Team player with enthusiasm, initiative and pride in work.
• Self-starter focused on continual quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance duties and monitor oil levels.
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on grease fittings and lint traps.
• Assist in troubleshooting and problem resolution to minimize downtime.
• Observe safety rules and company policies at all times.
• Support maintenance processes improvements and collaborate with plant personnel.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and perform other tasks as directed.
