Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Charlotte, NC seeks a Maintenance Worker responsible for preventative maintenance of large industrial textile processing equipment and facility upkeep. Reports to Chief Engineer and collaborates with Maintenance Technician as needed.

Candidates should have a valid driver's license, mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with power and hand tools. Excellent communication, teamwork, and a proactive approach to reducing downtime are required.

Qualifications

• Have and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Demonstrate adequate mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in the proper use of power and hand tools.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Be a team player with enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work well done; self-starter for quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance duties and preventative maintenance on grease fittings, lint traps, shaker screen barrels, and related equipment.
• Assists in problem resolution to minimize downtime and improve maintenance processes.
• Follows safety rules and procedures; operates in a cooperative, professional manner with plant personnel.
• Drives or transports parts and equipment as needed and supports other branch personnel.
