Job summary

Alsco Uniforms in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Maintenance Worker to perform preventive maintenance on large industrial textile processing equipment and handle facility upkeep. You will assist the Maintenance Technician and Chief Engineer, report to the Chief Engineer, and help minimize downtime.

The role requires basic mechanical aptitude, proficiency with power and hand tools, and good communication in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Have and maintain a valid drivers license and driving record.
• Demonstrate adequate mechanical aptitude and ability to use tools safely.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, with ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic maintenance duties including monitoring oil levels and routine maintenance of equipment components.
• Assists Maintenance Technician and Chief Engineer as required and supports other branch personnel.
• Ensures safety rules and procedures are followed and safety is prioritized.
• Works to minimize equipment downtime and continuously improve maintenance processes.
