Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Maintenance Worker in Anchorage to perform regular maintenance on large textile processing equipment and handle facility upkeep. You will assist the Chief Engineer and maintenance team, ensuring safety and efficiency in a fast-paced industrial laundry environment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, minor electrical troubleshooting, and facilitating parts transport. A valid driver's license, mechanical skills, and teamwork are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Demonstrate adequate mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient in the proper use of power and hand tools.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English, ability to comprehend and follow direction, perform basic math, good time management and team member skills.
• Self-starter dedicated to continual quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic maintenance duties, monitor oil levels and conduct regular preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting to minimize downtime and support maintenance technicians.
• Strictly adhere to all safety rules, policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with branch personnel and, when needed, drive to pick up parts and transport equipment.
