Job summary

Advanced Technology Services seeks a Maintenance Scheduler/Planner to evaluate non-emergency work requests, define scopes, and inspect sites to determine requirements. The role estimates labor hours, parts, materials, and tools for proactive maintenance and gathers essential technical documentation.

Responsibilities include maintaining a prioritized backlog, updating Job Plans through continuous improvement, and leading weekly planning meetings with Production.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required in a technical field with 1-3 years of maintenance scheduling / planning experience and/or 5–10 years as a machine repair technician
• Familiar with industrial manufacturing environment
• Electrical/mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency with computers, maintenance systems, and applications including Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
• Ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships
• Desire to develop leadership attributes
• Experience in job plan development, job scheduling, and work execution
• Project management and capital project experience preferred
• Green Belt certification

Responsibilities

• Evaluate non-emergency work requests, develop scope of work, and inspect job location to determine requirements
• Estimate labor hours, skillsets, parts, materials, equipment and tools needed for proactive jobs
• Gather technical documentation (drawings, schematics, specs, spare parts lists) and verify parts availability
• Arrange for special tools and auxiliary equipment as required
• Maintain an organized and prioritized work order backlog (Ready Backlog ≥ 80%)
• Use continuous improvement to update Job Plans for accuracy and effectiveness
• Lead weekly planning & scheduling meetings with Production to align priorities
• Create Weekly Technician Schedule covering priority jobs and preventative maintenance
• Improve work order planning and scheduling through review processes and metrics
• Maintain records for analysis and reporting; train site employees on CMMS
