Job summary

Advanced Technology Services is looking for a skilled maintenance planner/scheduler in Pontiac, IL. You will evaluate non-emergency work requests, scope jobs, estimate labor and parts, and ensure readiness of parts and tools for proactive maintenance.

You will lead CMMS training, run weekly planning meetings, and create a comprehensive technician schedule that optimizes the use of labor hours. Experience in project management and leadership development is valued.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field with 1–3 years of maintenance scheduling/planning experience or 5–10 years as a machine repair technician.
• Familiar with industrial manufacturing environments.
• Electrical/mechanical aptitude.
• Proficient with computers and maintenance software including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships.
• Desire to develop leadership attributes.
• Experience in job plan development, job scheduling, and work execution.
• Project management and capital project experience preferred.
• Green Belt certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates non-emergency work requests, develops scope of work, and inspects job location.
• Estimates labor hours, skillsets, parts, materials, equipment and tools for proactive jobs.
• Gathers drawings, schematics, specs, spare parts lists and validates parts availability.
• Maintains an organized backlog and Ready Backlog at or above 80%.
• Trains site employees on CMMS and ensures its proper use.
• Conducts weekly planning & scheduling meetings with Production.
• Creates a Weekly Technician Schedule covering priority jobs and preventive maintenance.
• Improves work order planning and scheduling via metrics.
• Maintains records for maintenance analysis and reporting.
