Job summary

Advanced Technology Services is seeking a Maintenance Scheduler/Planner in the United States to optimize work orders and plan proactive maintenance in a fabrication environment.

You will evaluate non-emergency work requests, estimate labor hours and required tools, gather documentation, and maintain a Ready Backlog above 80% while coordinating with production teams and CMMS usage to improve scheduling effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field with 1–3 years of scheduling experience and/or 5–10 years as a machine repair technician
• Familiar with an industrial manufacturing environment
• Electrical/mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency with computers and maintenance systems including Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal communication, facilitation and presentation skills
• Ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships
• Desire to develop leadership attributes and project management skills
• Green Belt certification is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and strategic thinking abilities

Responsibilities

• Evaluates non-emergency work requests, develops scope of work and inspects job location to determine requirements
• Estimates labor hours, skillsets, parts, materials and tools for proactive jobs
• Gathers technical documentation (drawings, schematics, OEM manuals) and verifies part availability
• Maintains an organized backlog and keeps Ready Backlog above 80%
• Implements continuous improvement to update Job Plans
• Conducts weekly planning & scheduling meetings with Production
• Creates a Weekly Technician Schedule aligning with available labor hours
• Improves planning and scheduling through review processes and maintenance metrics
• Maintains records supporting analysis and reporting of maintenance activities
• Trains site employees on CMMS usage and integrity
