Job summary

Advanced Technology Services is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to evaluate non-emergency work requests, develop scope of work, and inspect job locations to determine requirements.

You will plan weekly schedules, coordinate with Production, and maintain the backlog to optimize technician utilization. The role requires an associate degree and 1–3 years scheduling experience, with CMMS proficiency and a drive to develop leadership attributes.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree required in a technical field with 1-3 years of maintenance scheduling / planning experience and/or 5 – 10 years as a machine repair technician, or equivalent combination of both
• Familiar with industrial manufacturing environment
• Electrical/mechanical aptitude
• Proficiency with computers, maintenance systems, and applications including Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
• Ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships
• Desire to develop leadership attributes
• Experience in job plan development, job scheduling, and work execution
• Project management and capital project experience preferred
• Green Belt certification

Responsibilities

• Evaluate non-emergency work requests and develop scope of work
• Inspect job locations to determine job requirements and resources
• Estimate labor hours, skillsets, parts, materials and tools for proactive jobs
• Maintain an organized backlog to prioritize next jobs and keep Ready Backlog at/above 80%
• Lead weekly planning and scheduling meetings with Production
• Create a Weekly Technician Schedule that uses 100% of available labor hours
• Improve planning effectiveness through review and maintenance metrics
• Train site employees on CMMS and ensure proper usage
