Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 3rd shift role. This position supports PMs, repairs, and general maintenance in a fast-paced indoor shop, with emphasis on safety and lean manufacturing practices. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, basic experience with industrial equipment, and the ability to read measurements and follow instructions. Willingness to work overtime is required; training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and interpret basic drawings and measurement devices.
• Must read and understand safety rules and operating procedures.
• Ability to read tape measures and other measurement devices.
• Willingness to work overtime, including weekends, when needed.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety standards and perform job safely.
• Follow arc flash, LOTO, PPE and other safety protocols.
• Perform PMs and general maintenance repairs under supervision.
• Assist with maintenance projects and clean work area after tasks.
• Support Lean Manufacturing activities and hazards reporting.
